A team from The Nairobi Metropolitan Directorate of Health Ethics and Research Committee lead by Dr Andrew Toro on Thursday 10th March 2022 paid a courtesy visit to the KNH-UoN ERC. The main aim of the visit was to benchmark on the best practices on ethical review processes. The NMS team was taken through the composition of the IRB, proposal review process, challenges and lessons learnt by the KNH-UoN ERC in its 40 years of operation as the first bioethics committee in Kenya. The Chair of the KNH-UoN ERC Professor Guantai assisted by the ERC Secretary Dr Amugune and ERC Member Dr Wagoro ably shared with the visitors the KNH-UON ERC experience.
